Brick masonry consists of laying bricks jointly working with mortar. Bricks are laid in several bond designs with headers and stretchers. English bond and Flemish bond are widespread, robust bonds. Brick masonry walls are tough and fireplace resistant mainly because of the thermal mass of bricks.
